Rabbi Avraham Bronstein

With the enthusiastic approval of the leadership of The Hampton Synagogue, Rabbi Avraham Bronstein assumed the position of Rabbi of the congregation in January, 2017.

An experienced Jewish professional, Rabbi Bronstein previously represented Koren Publishers Jerusalem, the world's premier Modern Orthodox and Zionist publisher, in the US. Before that, he served as Development Executive for Ohr Torah Stone, where he worked closely with Rabbi Shlomo Riskin to build support across the US for OTS' extensive network of religous and social justice institutions in Israel with graduates around the world. He also served as Program Director of Great Neck Synagogue, where, in addition to significantly enhancing the profile of the synagogue's adult-education and cultural programming, he was a popular teacher and speaker and officiated High Holy Days services.

As a past Assistant Rabbi of The Hampton Synagogue (2006-2011), he made an especially significant mark through his creative and thoughtful development and expansion of the synagogue's summer brochure, through which he presented leading thinkers, writers, politicians, and diplomats from the Jewish world and beyond to the congregation. As Rabbi of the congregation, Rabbi Bronstein will focus on building the next generation of the synagogue in the spirit with which it was founded by Rabbi Marc Schneier - as a uniquely inviting spiritual home for Jews of every background and affiliation.

Rabbi Bronstein graduated from Yeshiva College with a BA in Computer Science, and was ordained with honors by Yeshiva University's Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary. A prolific writer on the intersection of Jewish thought with contemporary topics and current events, his essays and op-eds have been published by The Jerusalem Post, The Forward, and JTA, among other publications. He is a book reviewer for the Jewish Book Council and the New Jersey Jewish News, and his blog on the popular Times of Israel website has often been among that site's most read.

Rabbi Bronstein, his wife, Daniela, and their four children, Arielle, Neima, Elisha, and Shai, are thrilled to rekindle the many deep friendships they established during their first tour of duty in Westhampton Beach and look forward to building many new ones.
